Confessions

Okay, I did it. I never thought I would, yet alone admit it on my blog, but I did it. What horrible, unimaginable act did I do? I bought a Jonas Brother's CD.

(insert blood curdling scream)

WHY?! Why in the world would I do something so heinous? Well, here is my reasoning. Since I am the worlds coolest mother (that is according to Ashlee...I will tell you why in a minute) and I'm taking my kids to the Jonas Brothers Concert next month, I figured that I might as well know the songs so I won't be too bored or tortured. That is why. Please don't look at me differently or avoid me in public.

OKAY - so besides taking Ashlee to the Jonas Brothers Concert, the reason, well, as of this week, that I'm so cool is because of this. We were driving the other day to Sonic and we were listening to Radio Disney. Some young punks remade good ole MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This" I of course knew the lyrics since that was my favorite song in 6th grade. Ashlee was impressed that I knew this new song on the radio, and couldn't grasp the concept that I was a remake. None the less, she thinks I know all the cool new music on Radio Disney, and I am anxiously waiting for them to remake Sir Mixalot's "Baby Got Back".

Side Note: work Friday was much better. Not so emotional or crazy. I think I shall survive.

Shiftwork

I went back to work last night. It sucked. I had total mixed emotions all night. I was happy to be back in the company of my co-workers and adults (even though they don't act like ones :P) and to have a conversations that didn't consist of my telling them to "stop, get away, don't touch, do you need to be put in timeout, or clean up your mess". However, I really missed this guy all night:
I would start to think of him and I would get a little teary eyed. It was hard. Mix the post pregnancy emotions, with a pinch of exhaustion, you get one emotional mama. When I finally got home 8 1/2 hours later, I just held and rocked him for over an hour. It was nice to hold and smell him. I just whispered to him that I loved him and that the reason I'm working is to buy him what ever he wants for Christmas this year...hopefully he won't have expensive taste.

I Need One

So, I was surfing the web and decided that I need one of these bad boys. You know how much stuff I could get done with one of these bad boys?! Not only could I actually bike with my kids to school, and not have to worry about Tiffany riding on the handle bars and Abram falling off my shoulders as I biked down the street (I'm being sarcastic, please don't call CPS on me). Of course I find this bike the lovely week we are going to hit 115 degrees...none the less, I could use this at Christmas time when I deliver all my fancy homemade items (hardy har har) or when I just feel like taking a ride to QT or Sonic with Tiffany and Abram in tow.

OKAY- who am I kidding?! I want this bike so that I can ride in the bucket and Aaron can drag me around town.

side note : to my dear friend Janet, you totally could have used this bike to move.

ANYWHO - please click on the link to the right so that they see my blog is sending them some traffic and then I can be entered into a contest to win one. If I win, I promise to fill it up with water and take you for a ride around the block.

WOW

So Aaron and I went to Wicked last night. It was
A-MAY-ZING! Donna Vivino, as Elphaba and Katie Rose Clark as Glinda (reminded me of Cheri Oteri from SNL) were so much fun to watch on stage. I am DYING to go see it again. Aaron loved it just as much if not more than I did. Don't tell him this, but, his face was lit up with amusement during the show. Kinda like a kid in a candy shop. He's such a teenage little girl sometimes. All I'm going to say, is that I will never watch the movie The Wizard of Oz the same way again.
I do advise you to go see this and take your hubby too (or me)!!
Okay, I'm off to clean a little before the crazy 4th of July weekend. PARTY!!

New Header

I need to change my blogs header...I'm going to add that to the list of things I need to get done this week. FYI.

So, since I have a little down time....ha ha who am I kidding I have 4 kids, do I really have down time? Let me rephrase. Since the two younger spawns are sleeping and I'm too lazy to do the dishes and laundry and cleaning I should be doing, I decided to blog about my table. Now I could blog about the crazy reunion that happened this weekend, but I'm actually waiting on a few more pics from other family members. (Sounds like a good excuse at least).

SO MY TABLE!!

Let me preface: I have always wanted a square table. I have saved for one, but I'm so stinkin picky that I never found "the one". I like the ones I looked at, but I always found a problem. The color wasn't right, or the legs were to skinny. Silly stuff. I'm one of those people that if I'm going to spend cash flow, I'm getting what I want. The quest for the perfect table has gone on since December.

Fast Forward to June. Our sweet friends the Randalls decided to pack up and move to Kansas City, Missouri. They didn't want to move too many items, so they had a killer yard sale. I drove by and saw this beauty.

Being the lazy, just had a baby person that I am, I called Janet and asked her how much for the table. She told me $25. ARE YOU KIDDING ME - twenty-five-buck-a-roos?! SOLD. After Aaron got off of work we went to the Home Depot and got some stain and sealant. Aaron also saw this as a prime opportunity to purchase a sander..go figure.
Long story short, after some sanding, staining, and TLC, we now have this beauty:

Our only problem is that our sweet friends moved before we could have them over for dinner, that and our chairs are too tall, so we are on the hunt for new chairs. Otherwise, this has to be our big steal of the year!! HURRAY!!

Tonight

So do you have any plans for tonight? I do, and I'm excited.

p.s. Did I mention that they are 4th row tickets?
