Terrific Twos **sigh**

I can't believe that two years ago today, my co-worker called me fat and told me that I needed to go to the hospital. (He meant that my swelling had gotten tons worse that it was earlier that day.) After arriving at the hospital, I was whisked away via helicopter to St. Joes. Yep, tomorrow our little Monkey turns two. Holy crap where did the time go? She seems so huge now compared to Abram. She is finally talking more and is very funny. She has a mind of her own and she loves her Papa.
Last night she had something she wasn't suppose to have, and as Aaron chased her around the house to retrieve it, she threw it into the corner and then looked up at him and said "Uh-oh. Where go?" She shrugged her shoulders and acted like she had no clue where it went. We couldn't stop laughing. She is going to be t-r-o-u-b-l-e!!
She is slowly warming up to the new little man, however, she doesn't like her Papa to hold him. She immediately becomes territorial and tells Aaron to give the baby to me. She loves to look at him, she even has held him a few times, but if the scenario is Aaron and Abram, count on a fit with a high, and I mean high pitch scream. That's her new favorite hobby, squealing. She does it for excitement, for boredom, and for anger. It's so enjoyable. I only wish you could enjoy it on the bi-hourly basis that we do.
My sister is putting together a little bday party for her tomorrow. We were suppose to have her party last weekend...before the baby was suppose to arrive....I guess Abram wanted to ruin those plans. I will post pics (heavens knows when) from her party. I am so glad that she is part of our family, screams and all!!!

Pics

The Scoop

So here is the story......
There is a nasty 24 hour flu like bug going around town. It seems to only attack adults and it make you double over in pain super ill. Trust me, it's not something you really want to enjoy.
Wednesday morning, while I was about to leave work, I noticed the contractions I were having were getting stronger. No big deal. Been there done that. So I came home, did a little cleaning, and then tried to get some sleep. Usually the contractions end during my sleep. Not this time. They kept me up. So as I watched the clock to time their distance.
When morning finally came, I told Aaron that I had had contractions all night and that they were different from the ones before. He really didn't care because he was sick. He got that nasty 24 hour bug. Aaron NEVER gets sick, and when he does, it's like the end of the world. Then again, isn't it like that with all men?! I told him to stay home from work, and he just rolled his eyes at me. Heavens forbid that work actually functions a day without him. Whatever.
So I got up and started to go about my day as normal. Then I started to feel sick. Dang it. I was getting the same stupid symptoms of that 24 hour bug from hell, plus I was having contractions. Not the best combination. So I tried my best to hold out and just try to get through the day. I finally called Aaron and told him it was time for him to come home and take me to the hospital, and I quote "Can't you find someone to watch Tiffany and then you just drive yourself?" Really?! I then told him that it wasn't possible and that he needed to leave work and come home.
2 hours later...
Aaron arrives home and is upset that I'm at the door waiting to go. I told him that I was going to wait until the girls got home, since it was only like 30 more minutes and that my sister Julia was on her way to watch the girls while we went to the hospital. He was upset that I made him leave work and that I wasn't in the car waiting for his arrival. So he went and laid down. I had to cut him some slack, because he is sick, and bla bla bla.
So finally we head off to the hospital.
We get there just after 2pm.
I told them the scoop.
Aaron was doubled over dying in the corner.
I got an IV.
Aaron was still dying.
I was told that I was going to have a baby at 4pm.
Aaron wasn't thrilled, but began to make calls to everyone.
I began to pray and demanded that he would be made well. Through this whole pregnancy I have gained such a testimony of prayer, and this was the first time in my life that I have ever spoken to the Lord and demanded something.

Aaron was no longer sick and was able to get ready.
Miracle.
So they began to give me the meds needed for a c-section and had me drink this stuff that is suppose to settle your stomach...it was worse the second time around. I guess it didn't do it's job. I had this issue through the whole c-section. Not the best of memories.
After a few minutes of slice and dice, I see Aaron stand up, take some pics, the doc say "It's a healthy baby boy...and he's peeing on you...good job buddy."
He then cried, Aaron that is. He finally had his son. The brought him over for me to see him. Then whisked him away for cleaning.
Hurray it was over. I finally could close the chapter of pregnancies from hell at 4:29pm. He was here, I was done, and my tubes were tied. Hallelujah!!

Growing too fast

I love this show. It's actually tolerable, and it teaches about music and art. It's very interactive and Tiffany LOVES it!!! She follows along and "helps" them when they need help by patting her legs, clapping her hands, and singing. It's so amazing to see her grow up. I can't believe that she will be 2 next week. I swear it was just yesterday that I was making trips to St. Joe's in Phoenix at night so that I could hold her and spend a few hours together. I was so excited with every milestone, and I remember telling the nurses that I couldn't wait for her to be in a real bed and not the incubator. One of the nurses told me that there would be a day when I wish I could lock her back up in the incubator..yeah, I have had several of those days.

It is going to be crazy next week when little man is born and he is the size of a normal baby - not 2lbs 12oz. Ashlee and Elle keep asking if we get to bring him home with us, or if he has to stay in the hospital...poor things, they don't know that it isn't normal for a baby to stay in the hospital. If all goes well, he should be coming home with me. HURRAY!!!

Okay, I'm off to do some more cleaning, I have a week until the big day. **Applause**

Long Night....Long Day....Grouchy Sarah

So, as you may know, I work at night - and when I say night, I mean all night (sometimes until 3:30 in the AM) at Wells Fargo. I process checks that people have deposited through out the day, so that they have cash flow in their account.

I am one of several women who work there basically for the really good and really cheap health insurance. Since we are stuck together in a room, and there really isn't any distractions, we tend to talk and get to know each other and share fun, crazy. wild stories. It's awesome.

There is one lady in particular that I have become rather close with. Her name is Sonya. She has been at Wells Fargo for over 25 years. Crazy Huh. She also works at Target during the day in their accounting department. She works like a total of 70 hours between the two jobs. She is nuts. Her hubby is rather ill and unable to work, so she is the bread winner.

When she found out I was preggers, she started taking extra care of me. Making sure I wasn't over doing it and making sure that my health was in good condition. I got to know her family through her stories and she has gotten to know mine. I consider her like a grandma. So caring and loving.

Friday, I went to work and was pulled aside by one of the managers. I thought "Oh crap - I am getting laid off." That kind of news would have been easy to deal with. Instead I found out that sweet Sonya had a heart attack while taking a nap earlier that day and had passed away in her sleep.

Totally devastated.

Even though we both have the gospel in our lives, and I know where she is at and that she has a forever family, I am still confused.

Why?

So none the less, Friday was a very long and somber night. Many tears and memories were shared.

I got home and was only able to sleep 2 hours so I got up with Aaron and started to work on the house in hopes of keeping my mind busy. We got a lot accomplished. The back porch is done, just needs some paint. The little man's room is painted, just needs a crib. The laundry and dishes are done, just need to mop, and the upstairs is totally clean...(yeah - that's gonna last 24 for hours if I'm lucky.)

I'm not only tired and grouchy, but I'm still sad and sore.

oh well.
