OMG

So - like hell hath frozen over. The Cardinals are going to the Superbowl, Tiffany stayed in nursery the whole time on Sunday, and....

Aaron cried.

With or without nuts

So in just a few hours - 4 to be exact ( I had to wake up early to pee so that I had time for my bladder to fill before my appointment) I go to see my high risk OB doc in Phoenix. He is doing a level 2 ultra sound. He will be able to tell without a doubt if this is a boy or girl that I'm incubating. The level 2 ultra sounds are able to see inside the baby, so it's reproduction organs will be shown.

Do I want to find out? No. Does Aaron? Yes, he took the day off to join me for this very reason. He only joined me for Elle's ultrasound, so this is a big deal I guess. My feelings are that it's a boy. Since day one in the ER when I found out the unexpected news I had a boy feeling, however, I love calling the baby by the girl name we, ehm, I picked out, it really gets Aaron's feathers ruffled.

New subject. We went to Olive Garden and The Lion King on Friday. The girls LOVED it. They had no clue until we walked up to Gammage's door and they saw the Lion King banner. Pure excitement, joy, and giddiness. Watching their eyes and faces light up when it started was worth every penny. (Even though I don't remember purchasing the tickets). It really was a great musical. A little confession - I feel asleep in the second half. Here is my reasoning - A) I only had 4 hours of sleep B) Already knew the songs and the outcome C) Dark room, soft music, no Tiffany bugging you -you try staying awake. All in all, it was great. The girls haven't stopped talking about it or singing "Pink Pajamas Penguins on the Bottom" it's the chant from Circle of Life - go watch the movie - you'll hear it loud and clear.

Go Blue Team

Okay, so I am a biggest loser fan. I usually record it and then watch it later when I can't be bugged by my family. Plus I am able to skip through the commercials and boring stuff. ANYWHO I totally forgot to record the first episode last week for this season's show. So I started out with the second show. No big deal, the first show usually just introduces you to the contestants, and does the big weigh in. ANYWHO. SO I'm watching this past weeks episode, and I did a second take, a rewind, and a "No Way!" Low and behold, one of the dudes that I had a major crush on in junior high is a contestant.

Sione Fa

I just about died. I actually know this dude. Rock on. I guess the twist this season is that one member of the couples team is sent home for 30 days while they work their fanny off. If there team mate doesn't get voted off the ranch with in that 30 days, then they get to return to the ranch and continue on. I guess this is to show us people who sit at home eating Oreos that we can totally do it on our own. That's cool I guess. Anywho - so watch this season and root for the blue team!! (side note - Mesa Jr's colors were Blue and Yellow - I know him being on the blue team is a secret message to me that he had a crush on me too.)

Catch Up

So this post is long overdue, so let me just forewarn you of pictures and random thoughts. Warning, they may or may not be in chronological order. Sorry.

The Holiday Season. There are two traditions that we do as a family every year at the start of the December. The first is to go to Payson where my Aunt Wanda and Uncle Vernon lives and we go to the electrical light parade. My dad brings his fire pit to help us keep warm, and when the parade is over we head back to my Aunt and Uncle's house and eat super yummy food. Mmm Spudnuts (homemade doughnuts). The past few years during this tradition it has been FREEZING so I went overboard on the clothes and blankets. It wasn't too cold this year, but I felt like a retard caring all the blankets that really weren't needed.

The second tradition is that my parents take us all to Zoolights. Love it. If you haven't gone, you have until Sunday night. We usually go during the members only days, but due to every one's crazy schedule, we went the Saturday before Christmas.....ha ha ha.....not wise. Wicked crazy busy. But the girls had a blast. Tiffany would look at the lights and go "Ooooooo wow......wasz dat?" I'm just happy that "Wasz dat?" now sounds like Whats that instead of the BS word that it use to sound like. I would get mean looks in public when she would udder her question.

Next was our family Christmas Eve Party. We play our own version of pass the present when the word "the" is said while my aunt reads T'was Night Before Christmas. After that we act our our version of the Nativity. Yeah - sometimes it gets a tad outta control with the wise men, also known as the wise guys.

Wise guys

Our final tradition is Christmas morning. When the girls wake up, they find a letter from Santa and new slippers. The note points out nice things they did over the year and then tells them that their presents are at Granny and Grandpa's house. It tells them to brush their teeth and go wake up their parents, put on their slippers and head over to open their gifts. I was up at 7am awaiting their jumps into my bed...I waited an hour.

Heading over to Granny and Grandpa's

Christmas Pictures:

New favorite toy is a big box from Granny and Grandpa

Still the favorite toy

What Christmas is complete without a Nerf Shotgun?

Wait - there is something in the box?! Love the sound of ripping paper.

New bikes and bike helmets!!

"Hi Steve."
Michael and Sam playing with the remote control bat.

The New New favorite toy that was in the box. beep beep.
I got everything I wanted for Christmas, the Monkees on DVD, a electric griddle, a ring, and the new laptop I am posting from. I got Aaron a shotgun - previous post - new desktop computer, and Python-opoly. It's Monopoly with the Holy Grail theme. Totally awesome!!

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and I wish you and your family and amazing 2009. We are going to kick off this year by taking Ashlee and Elle to the Lion King next week. They have no clue. It will be a total surprise. Yeah - another side note - don't take your meds to help you sleep and then surf the web. You wake up the next morning with a nice purchase of tickets to the Lion King.
