What are you doing?

What are you doing August 11th?

Ashlee, Elle, and I are going to:

I know, you're jealous.
I really deserve the Mother of the Year Award.
(I am totally going to hold these tickets over their head all summer long - they will have to be on their best behavior.)

+++++++++++++++++++++++
Side note - apparently my body is sick of renting out space to my little man. It is trying to evict him using all means necessary - minus opening the floodgates - if you wouldn't mind just giving me a little shout out in your prayers it would be greatly appreciated. Little man needs to continue to rent space for at least another 4 weeks. Thanks.

Love Letter

Dear Aaron,

I am so glad you are back from the mountains. I really did miss you and the girls around day 4. I am so thankful for the rest I was able to get, and the fact my house stayed clean more than 30 minutes. You are the best husband in the world.

Now you are probably wondering why I posted a picture of baby bedding. As you may recall, I am currently a human incubator for your ONE and ONLY son. He has been a pain and hardship through out this pregnancy, and if he is anything like you or my brothers, we are in for one hell of a challenge. EHM - I mean, I hope he turns out to be as thoughtful, caring, kind, sweet, and loving as you.

The ever so cute bedding, with PLAID, STRIPES, and DOTS is currently on sale, for the low low price of $139. Can't you picture our little man waking up in the morning after sleeping all night in this cute and comfortable bedding? He would learn to appreciate your style of PLAID, STRIPES, and DOTS.

Please remember the first few months of hell from this pregnancy, and my current state of pain and uncomfortness before you make your decision.

I Love You,

Your Wench.

Random Sunday Morning Thoughts

pregnancy cartoon

I finally got a pedicure. Life is good.

Family comes home tonite after being gone since Wednesday. I actually am starting to miss them. I can't wait to see the pic of Tiffany playing with the Chickens.

I've already had two steroid shots, and I'm on terbutaline to stop the contractions. I feel like a walking seizure after I take it.

Feet and hands are swelling - but it's from the high temps and driving Aaron's truck Spanky (has no power steering, no AC, and is a stick shift). Lovely.

I am already a week farther along than when I had the red headed terror (TIFFANY) so the docs are happy. I'm ready to get this bad boy out though. Just don't want to do the NICU thing again.

I have started the never ending chomping of the ice. Love Sonic ice and QT crushed ice. I can't get enough. I also love the soda Squirt. When I drink it it reminds me of my grandpa LaDell. Why? When I was like 5 I remember going to the store and he bought a can for him and a can for me after we worked on the lawn of the church in Snowflake. Ever since then, when I drink or see a Squirt it brings that memory back.

I am trying to convince myself not to purchase the $159 baby boy bedding - but my friends aren't helping me in telling me that I should. Thanks.

I'm off to eat another Root beer Popsicle. (We have a ton of banana and lime if anyone wants one).

The 7th Commandment

Soooo, we are commanded to Keep the Sabbath Day Holy. No big deal, usually, however, today I woke up and realized that we were out of milk. Now if we didn't have small children, I would have gone through out the day with no worries, however, Tiffany needs a little milk to help her fall asleep, and I wasn't go to go through the day without her having milk.

The ox was in the myer.

So I got my shoes on and went to Frys - our local grocery store. I went in, and instead of just getting milk, I picked up a few snacks for Stake Conference (two hours with small children - they need snacks right?!) , and some boneless, skinless chicken breast (on sale for $1.67 a pound). So I headed to the back of the store to get the milk. As I was pushing my cart long (the call it a buggy in Texas - FYI) I was looking to see what was chilllin in the milk area. That's when it happened. A lesson learned that we need to always keep the sabbath day holy.

Now picture this, me pushing a cart, a large puddle of milk spilled on the ground, me not noticing the milk, my feet and the milk joining together in a slippery combination that ended in me doing the splits, one leg in front of the other. OUCH.

Now for you who have forgotten - I am 29 weeks prego. So as I am falling down, trying to hold myself up with the cart, as a sweet Fry's employee came over and tried to help me. So embarrassed. The manager ended up coming back, asking if they needed to call 9-1-1 and if I was okay. Long story short- they did a report, got my info, gave me their info, gave me free donuts and chocolate milk, I checked out and went home.

I am really sore. Two hours of sitting in Stake Conference really didn't help, and so I walk around like an old grandma who needs a walker - baby steps, each step more painful than the last. So if you ever think that breaking the Sabbath is no big deal - DO NOT DO IT!!! BAD IDEA!! YOU WILL GET INJURED!!

Photos

So, my Granny asked me to get some photos together for her digital picture frame she got for Christmas. So I have been spending the morning gathering photos from my collection, scanning them in, and getting them ready. I also, have been "borrowing" photos off of family member's blogs and face book accounts - Sorry if this makes you mad - it's for Granny - get over it - don't put them on the web if you are so sensitive.

Ehm - back to me.

So in all of my findings I came across a few photos that I laughed at and thought I would share.

Clowning around.

Anywho - quick update on me - man this post is all about me apparently - I am starting to go down that all familiar path of pre-eclampsia. Joy. At least the docs have the heads up this time so we can try to keep it under control. My feet are fat and purple and my hands are starting to puff up - but not as quickly or as bad as last time. Cross your fingers, make a wish, and pray that my body chills out and allows me to go another 6 weeks - at least.

p.s. Tiffany is still pooping. I miss the consto days. 6 smelly poopy diapers a day is killing me - seriously - hazardous waste zone.

February Review

So I'm a tad behind. Sorry. I am in nesting mode - I know - it may seem early, but when you combine OCD with pregnancy - the outcome is scary!! So - please forgive me and let me recap this past month's events!!

LOOK - Up in the sky...is it a bird? Is it a plane? Well actually it is a plane - it's Air Force One. It flew right over our house when Pres. Obama came to town. We kinda made a big deal about it, because my poor Ashlee inherited the political gene, and she has been very upset that Obama won and not John Cocaine (She for some reason can't say McCain, but can say McDonald's). So after many talks about supporting and praying for our president, she is finally coming around.

I turned 30. That's right, I'm finally the big 30!! Hurray. I had an 80's retro party at Golfland Sunsplash, that was a totally awesome blast. My friend Jessica made this totally rad cake.

And then this is my totally retarded (gay) hubby and his friend Spencer before we did go cart racing. All, in all, it was a blast!!

Aaron had a bday too. And, so get this, my totally retarded (gay) hubby suggested that this year for bday gifts we should purchase Wicked tickets.

Apparently he heard the music somewhere and wants to see the show. So, being the totally cool wife that I am, I was able to purchase tickets early and we ended up with 4th row tickets for the 2nd night it's in town. The bonus, is that that we spent less than half the retail price. I love getting great deals!!! By the way - I haven't heard any of the music - I guess I should purchase the CD now and get to listening.

Tiffany is still having intestine issues, however, we are making progress (if you want to call smelly poopy diapers all the time progress). We have been doing test and all that fun stuff, and hope to have a diagnosis and plan in the near future.
By the way - this is Aaron's idea of getting her dressed - Elle's old shirt and pajama shorts.

Elle turned 9. And since I'm a bad mom, she only got a family party this year, however, she also got a Nintendo DS. I still haven't figured out if I made the purchase for her or Aaron. They seem to be on it ALLLLL the time. I now have time constraints on when they can be on it. It's crazy.
As a consolation prize to no friend birthday party, I let her invite a friend over for a sleep over and party. We ate pizza, watched Igor, stayed up till 1am and then spent then next day at the Phoenix Zoo.

Aren't they soo cute? Elle just adores this friend and talks about how cool she is all the time. I'm so glad that she moved into our ward!!

If I were a goat - this would be me. Poor pregnant goat. I feel your pain. I technically have 12 more weeks, but I would totally settle for 9.
On a side note - if you haven't purchased a Sentsy wax warmer thingy - you totally should. My house smells soo yummy right now. I have the smell of Sunkissed Citrus filling my home, it just makes it seem so clean and spring like. Not getting paid for this advertisement - but I totally should - with like NASCAR tickets - ehm - Becca.
That's all.
